The woman pulls me to the side avoiding to meet my eyes. ‘This way please’, she says. ‘Please lift your arms’. She scans my legs, my arms and as she passes the detector over my heart a loud insistent beep keeps going.
‘A heart of steel?’ I ask her jesting. She stops. She looks into my eyes. She measures up my heart . She smiles. ‘I doubt it’, she replies.
